Helping to Feed Those in Need

The Granby Food Bank reopened to shoppers on 6/23/20 with revised safety procedures for everyone during this pandemic. Any registered shopper who is unable to shop or has no means of getting to the Food Bank at this time can call 860-379-8561 for further information and assistance.

Any Granby resident needing Food Bank assistance who is not already registered can contact the Town of Granby’s Director of Human Services at 860-844-5350 for help with the eligibility process.

HOURS of OPERATION:
Open to shoppers on Tues. 10:30 am-12 noon & Thurs. 2-3:30 pm.

How Can I Help?

The Granby Food Bank is staffed by a team of dedicated volunteers and operates solely on the generosity of individuals, families, groups, and organizations in the community. Every food item and donation go directly to assist those who utilize this vital community service.

The Granby Food Bank has ongoing needs for a variety of donated non-perishable, non-expired goods:

Canned meats, fish, pasta
Peanut butter/jellies/jams
Rice/potato mixes
Condiments/salad dressings
Cereal-hot/cold
Coffee/tea/juices
Canned fruit/vegetables
Canned hearty soups
Pasta sauce/spaghetti
PET food
Brownie/cake/muffin mixes
Toilet paper/paper towels/tissues
Side dishes
Dish and laundry soaps
Pancake mix/syrup
Personal care products -bar soap, toothpaste, shampoo

Donations may be dropped off in the shed at the rear of the Food Bank site.
If the shed is full, please call 860-651-3539 for assistance.
If you are part of a church group, sports team, school, scouting troop, civic organization, or local business or plan to make a sizeable donation, please contact us in advance to arrange a time for your delivery.

Checks or grocery gift cards can be mailed or hand-delivered to Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Litchfield County at the Simsbury Branch located at 8 Old Mill Lane, Simsbury, CT 06070.

Credit card and PayPal donations can be processed by calling 860-379-8561 or can be submitted through the Donate page on our website.
