Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Litchfield County is a team of health care professionals committed to providing exceptional care in the home setting. Skilled Nursing: Our nursing team is composed of registered nurses who have extensive nursing experience and a real commitment to providing the best care possible to our patients. At Visiting Nurse & Hospice of Litchfield County, a registered nurse is available 24 hours a day/365 days a year.

Rehabilitation Team: Our team of physical, occupational and speech therapists strive to restore maximum function of our patients. Our physical therapists work to improve patients’ strength, balance and endurance following illness, injury or orthopedic surgery. Our occupational therapists assist by helping to improve fine motor skills that are important in completing daily activities such as dressing and cooking or by teaching sequencing techniques to help patients correctly take medications.  Our speech therapists help people who may have difficulty with chewing, swallowing, or communicating related to communication disorders, such as aphasia, dysphasia, and voice control, as well as challenges related to memory loss and dementia.

Medical Social Work: Our medical social workers act as advocates to coordinate needed community services and to help patients and families through the emotional and financial issues that can accompany a health crisis.

Home Health Aide Team: Our team of home health aides are committed to serving our patients and families with respect and dignity, and strives to provide the best service possible. Home health aides assist our patients with daily personal care activities such as feeding, bathing, dressing and exercising.

Business Office Team: Working behind the scenes, the office staff keeps our business, information technology and payroll processes flowing smoothly for our patients and staff members.
